Abel Shaw
Chiropractor
Dr. Abel Shaw is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is also a Certified Provider of Active Release Technique. Dr. Shaw attended Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis Missouri where he completed his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He has worked with athletes from the Missouri Baptist University, NAIA championship, women’s track and field team and has been the team chiropractor for Mary Washington University Athletics. Dr. Abel Shaw is an Army veteran and has run both cross-country and track and field at Shippensburg University.
Ryan Donahue
Chiropractor
Dr. Ryan Donahue was born and raised in Sioux City, IA. He attended the University of Iowa where he received a bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Physiology before graduating Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern Health Sciences University as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Dr. Donahue is a Certified Provider of Active Release Technique, RockTape kinesiology tape, and SMART Tools (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization). He has also had extensive post graduate training in various treatment and rehabilitation approaches that include McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS).
Zelina Sharp
Office Manager
Zee graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Animal Science Pre-Veterinary. She moved to Houston during the pandemic to switch career paths, while there she worked as a client patient coordinator in veterinary surgery and orthopedics where she fell more in love with the medical side of the industry. While in Houston she obtained an A.A.S. in Computer Programming C++, and decided to come back to her roots to be closer to her family. With over ten years of animal patient experience, she is excited to move to the human field where compassion and empathy are still the main priorities.
Dayna Duve
Patient Experience Representative
Dayna has worked in the healthcare industry for the last 17 years as a Patient Relations Representative for Intermountain Healthcare in Utah, a Patient Service Rep for Providence Healthcare in Oregon, and a Transitional Care Coordinator at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Arizona. She enjoys helping patients navigate through their healthcare experiences. She loves spending time with her family and friends, outdoor activities like hiking and cycling, game nights with family and friends, going to movies and plays, scrapbooking, crafting, and doing running races with her family.
Jewels Tunney
Patient Experience Representative
Jewels is a graduate of Buena Vista University, where she completed her BA in Fine Art Management, combining her interest in performing and visual arts with a business management background. Her work experience has been in commercial print, retail sales and insurance. Her hobbies include reading, knitting and crochet. Jewels is an avid cyclist, runner and aerial artist. She has run every distance from the mile to a marathon on the streets of Des Moines. She currently trains in the aerial arts at Cirque Wonderland in West Des Moines. She is looking forward to her new adventure in the healthcare field.
Brady Thompson
Intern
Brady is less than a year away from graduating with his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University. Born and raised in Waverly, Iowa, he attended Waldorf University where he played baseball and received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. Brady values an exercise based approach to chiropractic and believes rehab paired with movement is the best medicine. He is eager to help build a stronger and healthier community! In his free time he likes to golf, run and play basketball! When he's relaxing he likes to play video games and dabble in graphic design.
Oliver "Ollie"
Therapy Dog in Training / Resident Greeter
Oliver is six years years old, and is a Rough Collie and Alaskan Malamute mix. In our office, he will be hanging out as our resident therapy animal where he can provide comfort to our patients if necessary. Therapy animals help reduce boredom, increase mood / social interaction / and general well being. There have also been studies showing therapy animals reducing blood pressure and improving physical wellness. Oliver is titled in Canine Good Citizen, Community Canine, and Trick Dog Intermediate. He is currently working on a therapy dog title as well as farm dog certification (for fun)!
Please do NOT feed Oliver. He has a very sensitive stomach!
